Shipping Policy

Welcome to Althie Lifestyle Est 2022's Shipping Policy. We strive to provide the best shipping experience for our customers. We carefully package your handmade candles, wax melts, and reed diffusers and ensure they reach you in perfect condition. Our shipping costs are transparent and reasonable, so you can shop with confidence knowing that your items will be delivered securely.

Shipment processing times:
All Orders are processed within 3 business days.
Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of Your Order, We will contact You via email.

Althie Lifestyle ships to addresses within the UK. We do not ship to PO Boxes.

Customs, Duties and Taxes
Althie Lifestyle  is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to Your Order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes).

International shipping is not currently offered.
 
Damages
Althie Lifestyle is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If You received Your Order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.
Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

Return & Exchange Policy
Returns

In life, sometimes something just doesn't work for you and you want your money back. As long as an item is still in its original condition we accept returns, subject to the rules below, which includes rules about fair use. None of these rules affect your statutory rights.


If you return an item requesting a refund within 14 days of the item being delivered to you or available for collection, you will receive a full refund by way of the original payment method (subject to proof of purchase).
I endeavour to refund you within 14 days of having received the returned item.
 
If you request a refund for an item during the above timeframes but you can't return it to us for some reason, please get in touch - but any refund will be discretionary.
 
After that?
Returns aren't accepted for unwanted items after the relevant 14 day returns period (outlined above). If you try to make a return, we may have to send it back to the delivery address provided at purchase and ask you to cover the delivery costs.
 
Original Condition
Hygiene and our customers’ safety is super important, so certain items can’t be returned for refunds including:

  • Face + Body products if opened, used or protective seal is not intact

  • Face coverings if the seal has been tampered with or is broken

  • Jewellery

None of this affects your statutory rights.
 
If an item is returned damaged, used or in an unsuitable condition, a refund can't be issued and it may need to be returned back to you (and you'll be asked to cover the delivery costs). All items are inspected on return. In order to receive a full refund, all items must be returned to us unworn/unused and in the same condition you received them with their original packaging and all tags and labels attached (for example, products are to be returned with the product box (where applicable)).
 
Responsibility
Returned items are your responsibility until they reach us, so make sure they're packaged properly and securely, and can't get damaged in transit.
As the parcel remains your responsibility until it arrives back with us, ensure that you get proof of postage in case you need to make contact about your return. Althie Lifestyle is not responsible for items lost in transit, so it is highly recommend that you have proof of postage.
 
Althie Lifestyle is not responsible for any items that are returned by mistake (it happens!). If it's not possible to locate the items (it's not always possible) and you'd like these returned to you, you'll be asked to cover the delivery cost.
 
Fair use
If an unusual pattern of returns activity that doesn't appear right is noticed e.g. it's suspected that someone is actually using their purchases and then returning them, ordering and returning lots - a lot more than even loyal Althie Lifestyle Limited customers would order, or the items returned don't match what you ordered - then you may have to be blocked from being able to make future orders. If this happens to you and you think it has been done in mistake, please get in touch and we can discuss the matter (contact details are listed in our Ts and Cs).

If you have been blacklisted and you need to make a valid return, contact hi@althielifestyle.com. You will be advised accordingly, although you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods (if a return is authorised).
 
Please note, Althie Lifestyle reserves the right to take legal action against you if the items you return don't match what you ordered.
 
Want to exchange an item?
All returned items will be refunded once they've been received by our warehouse. Need a different size/colour/shade/fragrance of an item? Just place a new order! 
 
Need to return a faulty or incorrect item?
If you've received an item which isn't quite right, read on to find out what to do.
 
Faulty Items:
Return the item to us as soon as possible so that the issue can be sorted. Don’t forget to highlight that the product is ‘Faulty’ when asked for a reason for your return. 
Used your favourite item one too many times? Please bear in mind that items are inspected upon return; those with wear and tear as opposed to a fault will not be refunded.
Please note that Althie Lifestyle will not send replacements for faulty items.

Incorrect Items:
What should you do if you receive an incorrect item in your order?
We would like to sort out any issues with incorrect items immediately. 
 
If one of the items you received isn't what you ordered, please return it and a refund will be issued if it's incorrect (provided it is in acceptable condition as outlined in our returns policy).
Don’t forget to highlight ‘Incorrect item received’ as your reason for return.
 
Keep hold of your proof of postage in case further inspection is required further on down the line. Althie Lifestyle is not responsible for items lost in transit, so it is highly recommend that you have proof of postage.
It's usually your responsibility to pay for your return. If you still want the order and your desired items are still in stock, please contact Althie Lifestyle first so that the re-delivery charge can be waived.

You are entering into this agreement with:

Our website www.althielifestyle.com offers for sale Althie Lifestyle branded products. All products we offer on our website are Althie lifestyle products, unless they are identified as Althie Lifestyle Brand Partner products.  
 
When you place an order for Althie Lifestyle products, your contract is with Althie Lifestyle Limited. 
When you shop with us (or access our services, apps and websites (our “Websites”)), these terms apply. 
If you need anything else from us, get in touch with Customer Care (using the form at the bottom of this page) – we always love to hear from you!
 
About You
To shop with us or receive services from us, you need to:

  • be minimum 16 years old;

  • have a credit or debit card that we accept and that you are authorised to use (i.e. it has your name on it or you have permission to use it).

Please note, some of the goods sold through our Websites may not be suitable for under 18s. 
 
Placing An Order
Where you are buying a product directly from us, you will use your card to pay us directly for the product.
 
By selecting the product you wish to buy from Althie Lifestyle, and then pressing the “Place Order” button, you will be authorising Althie Lifestyle to take a payment from your card to pay Althie Lifestyle.
 
We will only accept your order once the payment has been approved and we have debited the payment card (and then the contract is made based on these terms).
 
You are not able to cancel or change your order. You can’t change your order – you’ll need return the original item(s), and then re-order.
 
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. If there’s an issue with an order, we’ll get in touch with you.
 
All products remain the property of Althie Lifestyle until full payment of the purchase price is received by us.
 
Very occasionally, we may need to refuse or cancel an order (even if we have previously confirmed your order) – e.g. if we notice something unusual on an order or an account or if your order goes against unit limits as detailed on the product display pages of specific products. If this happens to you and you think we’ve made a mistake, please get in touch with Customer Care and they’ll be happy to speak to you about it.
 
Payments are processed by Wix Payments.
 
Prices and product descriptions
There’s a lot going on here at Althie Lifestyle HQ and we may occasionally price up or describe a product or promotion incorrectly (for which we solemnly apologise). If we spot an error for any goods you’ve ordered, we’ll let you know ASAP and give you the option of reconfirming your order (at the correct price) or cancelling it.
If we can’t get in touch with you, the order will be treated as cancelled. If your order gets cancelled and you have already paid, we will refund you in full.
 
Prices include VAT (where applicable), but keep in mind that there may be other taxes that you need to pay which aren’t imposed by us.
 
Depending on the value of your order or the delivery option or address you choose, delivery costs will be charged accordingly. These additional charges will be clearly shown during the checkout process and included in the 'Total Cost'.
 
Delivery
Before you finalise your order, you’ll be given various delivery options to choose from with estimated delivery times. 
We work hard to try to meet all delivery times but sometimes there may be delays – e.g. due to postal/carrier delays, logistics or bad weather. We will keep you updated as much as we can. 
Any problems with your delivery? Please let us know within 14 days of the date which your order should have been delivered and we’ll do our best to help you.
Note - as it currently stands, we only ship to the UK.

Promo Codes
From time to time, we may give you Promo Codes that you can use to reduce the price of specified products. It’s up to you to enter the code at checkout! 
 
Here are some key things to remember:

  • Each Promo Code has its own terms, which will be made clear at the time it’s issued to you (e.g. what products, single/multiple use, when it can be used etc)

  • Unless we tell you otherwise, Promo Codes can’t be used to buy Althie Lifestyle Gift Vouchers 

  • If you’re given a unique Promo Code that is meant just for you please keep it secret and don’t let anyone else use it or abuse it (e.g. don’t post it on social media). If we think there is or has been misuse of a Promo Code in any way (e.g. selling it or sharing it with others), we can cancel your Promo Code and/or suspend or even block your ability to order without telling you. It will not be re-issued once used.

  • If a Promo Code is being misused – e.g. fraud, tampering, technical errors or anything else that is beyond our control that affects the running or fairness of the Promo Code – we can cancel, modify or suspend the Promo Code.

 
Gift Vouchers and Gift Cards
If you’re the lucky recipient of an Althie Lifestyle Gift Card, there are a few points to bear in mind:

  • Keep it safe

  • Gift Cards can’t be used to buy Althie Lifestyle Gift Cards. They can only be used to buy Althie Lifestyle products and are to only be redeemed on the Althie Lifestyle website: https://www.althielifestyle.com

  • Gift cards are to be redeemed by the specified date.

  • Althie Lifestyle eGift cards are non-refundable.

  • It is the responsibility of the purchaser to let the recipient know of these terms.

  • By purchasing, you are in acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • If you’re buying someone else a Gift Voucher, please make sure you get their email address correct! If you get it wrong and the Gift Voucher is emailed to someone else who uses it, there’s nothing that we can do. Make sure you quadruple check before you buy it.

  • Please keep the details secret and don’t let anyone else use it. It will not be re-issued once used.

  • The gift cards will be issued via email

 
Speaking of emails, sometimes spam filters may send our emails into junk or spam folders. If you’ve not been thanked for your generous gift, it’s worth giving a nudge to check their junk or spam folder!
 
Althie Lifestyle reserves the right to cancel any Gift Vouchers in its sole discretion where fraud or misuse is suspected. 
 
Your information
Our Privacy Policy sets out how we use your information; please refer to it before submitting any information about yourself. 
 
We love being able to interact with and chat to you through social media. However, we can’t control those social media platforms or how you set your profiles on them. Please check and set your privacy settings so that you understand and are comfortable with how your personal information on those platforms will be used. 

What not to do…
We know it’s obvious, but you must not misuse or tamper with our website, apps or other services (“Websites”) (e.g. hack, introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other technologically harmful material or carry out denial of service attacks etc) or otherwise mess with our or payments tech or functionality or steal our customers’ data. Doing any of these things may be a criminal offence, but they also get in the way of us giving our loyal customers the best service, so we take them extremely seriously. Althie Lifestyle will report any such breach or activity (and all information about the people carrying it out) to the relevant law enforcement authorities. 
 
We recommend you use virus protection software when using any website at all. We can’t guarantee that websites will always be secure from bugs, viruses or bad people.
 
Also, you’re not allowed to use automated systems or software to extract data from our Website (AKA 'screen scraping'). 
 
Troublemakers take note: you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Althie Lifestyle, its directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents, and affiliates, from any and all third-party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from your use (or misuse) of this Website or your breach of the Terms and Conditions.
 
Intellectual property/software/content
Althie Lifestyle owns or has permission to use the intellectual property rights in the Website and its content. These rights are protected around the world. All such rights are reserved.
 
You can store, print and display our Website content only for your own personal use. You are not allowed to use any part of the Website for commercial purposes without our permission.
 
You are not allowed to use the Althie Lifestyle logo or any Althie Lifestyle brand or trade mark (or any marks which are colourably similar) without our permission.
 
Linking to this Website
It’s fine for you to link to www.althielifestyle.com, as long as you do so in a way that is not-commercial, is fair and legal, and doesn’t damage or take advantage of our reputation. 
You are not permitted to link in a way that suggests any form of approval or endorsement by Althie Lifestyle where none exists. 
 
Our Website must not be framed on any other site without our permission.

We have the right to amend, remove or vary our services and/or any part of the Website (including our Ts&Cs) at any time. 
If Althie Lifestyle removes its services, this agreement between you and Althie Lifestyle will end. Otherwise the agreement between you and Althie Lifestyle will remain in place until you or Althie Lifestyle ends it in accordance with these terms and conditions.
 
These terms and our dealings with you are subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. These terms between Althie Lifestyle and you, and any communications between Althie Lifestyle and you, will be in English.
 
You must pay attention to usage instructions provided with Althie Lifestyle products. Please note: you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Althie Lifestyle, its directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents, and affiliates, from any and all third-party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from your use (or misuse) of the products or your breach of the Terms and Conditions.
 
User Generated Content
If we have reached out to you on social media to feature your content on our social media channels, then read on!
By giving you the opportunity to feature your content on our social media channels and by responding with the required hashtag (such as #AlthieLifestyleRocks) you agree:

  • we can use your handle and the content (the “Content”) on www.althiemodel.com/AlthieLifestyleStore and/or on any of Althie Lifestyle’s social media platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter).

  • we can edit, crop, adapt, enhance or modify the Content (but Althie Lifestyle will not treat you in a disparaging manner).

You promise that you:

  • have the permission of everyone in the Content;

  • have the right to grant Althie Lifestyle the above rights; and

  • are 16 years old or above

 
If you (or anyone in the Content) requires us to remove the Content, we will remove the Content from the social media accounts that we control.
 
You understand that other users of these social media platforms can also share and make use of the Content once posted. E.g. a user of these platforms can take a screenshot of and save an image of the Content to their device, share the Content on social media platforms or websites which feature the Content (and sharing capabilities). If you do not want to grant the permissions set out above then please do not give us consent to use the Content as these circumstances are beyond our control.
